Why was Women in FUA “W.F.U.A” created?
The W.F.U.A writing workshop was established in April 2019 while the Financial Underearners Anonymous fellowship was growing at a rapid rate. To help meet the demand of women in FUA seeking to start working the FUA steps, the writing workshop was designed and continuously improved to support women in FUA who wanted to start working the steps with a temporary Qualified female Sponsor.
The W.F.U.A "WhatsApp" chat forum was created in June 2019 to allow women in FUA to connect with a “step-working buddy”, action partner and / or to share and receive positive words of encouragement as they individually walk the path of Recovery.
What makes an exclusive women’s workshop helpful and valuable?
Since commencing the workshop and the "WhatsApp" chat group in 2019, we have learned that when women connect with other women, those connections may accelerate recovery and growth. Within the women's FUA workshop, we hold a sacred space of mutual respect where deeply personal matters, that are unique to the female financial underearner, can be shared and received without judgement.
