Financial UA Statement of Purpose
The Purpose of the Financial Underearners Anonymous program is twofold: to help its members overcome Financial Underearning; and to carry the message to the financial underearner who still suffers. We define Financial Underearning as: Not earning enough to afford all our needs, some of our wants, and to still have enough earnings left over to put into savings. We have noticed that Financial Underearning can be a compulsive and progressive condition that affects us financially, emotionally, spiritually and physically.
Compulsive Financial Underearning is a spiritual illness, much like Alcoholism, where the sufferer cannot recover by him or herself in isolation. Our recovery must come within a group or fellowship and we need the help of a power greater than ourselves. For many, this power is called Higher Power-- in Financial UA we invite this Higher Power to express itself as Earning Power.
