About the Original Financial UA logo

The meaning of the Financial UA logo is such:

The square box represents the "four walls"-- a common term referring to food, clothing, shelter and transportation--the four basic necessities people need within modern society in order to survive before they thrive.  The four sides also are surrounded by our four goals or mile markers that communicate when we are living in the solution and thriving.

The words Solvency and Serenity are arranged as supporting columns resting on the foundation of Recovery.  The columns of Solvency and Serenity refer to two types of sanity--financial sanity and spiritual sanity, respectively.  This means our sanity is based upon a foundation of  Recovery and our Prosperity is based upon the dual foundations of Solvency and Serenity (financial sanity and spiritual sanity, respectively)...all this underlying structure supports the apex of Prosperity.  It is within Recovery that we utilize sane financial practices (12 Tools of Financial UA) which restores our Solvency; and that we practice spiritual exercises (12 Steps of Financial UA) which restores our spiritual sanity--Serenity.

The words "Solvency, Prosperity, Serenity and Recovery" are all black referring to being "In the Black", a term associated with financial solvency as opposed to being "In the Red", meaning being in debt.  Inside the box is the word Financial (green for money) surrounding or putting it's "arm" over UA,  (Underearning).  UA is red symbolizing "In the Red", meaning our Underearning led to our debting or living a life of indebtedness, referring to both financial debt as well as lack of quality of life, which is self-debting.

The Financial element acts as the bridge that leads us from Underearning to establishing our "four walls" so that we get our basic survival needs met, to finally expanding outwards to enjoying life as we pursue our four goals...Recovery, Solvency, Serenity and Prosperity.   It is in this space that we find ourselves living in the solution.

In the center of the Box is "FUA" which stands for Financial Underearners Anonymous.  The manner in which "Financial" wraps itself around "UA" and is larger than "UA"  and is a different color than "UA" helps to communicate that the financial emphasis is what sets this fellowship apart from any other group or fellowship that also explores issues related to underearning.   Financial UA focuses on the financial side, the earning side, the income side of the solution to underearning.
