To the Business Owner...
(or those Financial Underearners who wish to start a business)
Many Financial Underearners own or manage a Business and these businesses may underearn financially. The FUA program focuses specifically on helping Financial Underearners to get and keep a Job in a Spiritual, Prosperous and Sustainable way. Financial UA encourages business owners to seek out 12 Step Fellowships and Meetings (such as B.D.A. -- Business Debtors Anonymous or U.A.'s "Selling with Serenity") or other resources that focus specifically on addressing their business needs. In these other programs, there is a specific, clear and established Primary Purpose that speaks to and guides business owners as they strive to establish their own territory within the greater marketplace.
Additionally, we encourage aspiring business owners to focus their time and energy on developing a financially prosperous business rather than wasting their time and energy feeding a "Busy-ness". Often these members become so preoccupied and consumed with the compulsive activity of their business that they lose touch and experience vagueness around the profitability of their business. Experience has shown that these individuals may benefit from exploring Workaholics Anonymous or Debtors Anonymous. Over the years, we have seen that many people in 12 Step programs desire to run a business and be their own boss. There is a thrill that comes with the freedom to be in charge, to run the show, to be independent and to set one’s own schedule and workload. FUA recognizes and supports those who feel called to follow their passion for starting or running a business. FUA also returns to the spiritual and practical fundamentals of Earning which are: to get a Job; to develop ones Work-Ethic; and to heal ones ability to channel Higher Power in the form of Earning Power, so as to increase ones earning and income, savings and wealth.
We have found that many Financial Underearners often indulge in fantasy and romanticize being a prosperous business person accountable only to him, her, or themself; but very often they lack the specific skills, personal discipline, specialized knowledge, emotional maturity, mental clarity, professional demeanor, or level of technical and financial expertise necessary to build and expand a thriving, prosperous business. These members have instead found it helpful to surrender the fantasy of starting or running a business and instead choose to focus their efforts toward getting a Job and developing their Work-Ethic, as they recover around their capacity to prosperously channel Higher Power in the form of Earning Power.
Business owners, you are welcome in Financial UA, yet understand that this program may not speak to or feed your intention to start or run a business. In FUA we focus on helping you get a Job and develop your Work-Ethic in a way that has spiritual integrity, however, there are many houses and many rooms in the Recovery space. We hope you are able to find the ones that are the best fit for you. While you are on your journey to know your Higher Power's will for you; and to channel it in the form of Earning Power; we invite you to Keep Coming Back!
